Jewelry Care

Your silver jewelry is made of 100% sterling silver and all pieces have a surface treatment. These surface treatments will fade over time because of contact with clothes, hard surfaces, sweat, perfume, hairspray, air pollution and many others.

Most of your gold jewelry is silver on the inside with 18 karat gold plating on the outside. Some gold items are made of brass with 18 karat gold plating, this is stated in the description of each item. We do 3 layers of gold plating which is the best and strongest option existing on the market.

Gold plated jewelry does not have the same characteristics as solid gold. It is water resistant, however overexposure to water may wear off the plating faster.

Scratches and user marks may occur on the plating and sterling silver pieces. This is normal when wearing it for a longer time on a daily basis. Also it’s completely natural for sterling silver & gold plated items to oxidize or lose their gloss over time.

To keep your silver and gold plated jewelry serving you for a long time, prevent from tarnish please keep the following in mind:
- Avoid contact with water or any other liquids. Do not wear jewelry when in the swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna/steam room or while bathing or showering.
- Chlorine, salt water, sand, detergents, oils, perfumes, creams, lotions and other skincare products all contain substances that can affect jewelry.
- Excessive sweating when wearing jewelry can cause faster oxidation and tarnish.
- Clean your plated jewelry gently, and don’t rub it. Wipe your silver jewelry with a soft cloth after each wear to remove makeup and oils (from skin). Coil chains gently to prevent damage in storage.
- Keep your jewelry in the pouch after wearing. Please do not store your jewelry in the bathroom.
- Try to prevent plated rings from banging into countertops and rubbing against car keys.
- Please note: Brass may have an effect on your skin. Every skin is different and interacts differently with the jewelry chemicals. Therefore we can not ensure the potential fading of your plating.
